A Season of Glory Rising
The rising and release of God’s glory
is the answer the Lord has for the overwhelming outpouring of darkness and evil
that seems to be overtaking everyone and everything. The Lord has allowed all
this to happen because He always seems to let everything man deems of worth or
powerful to fail in order to fully glorify the Son of God. Although things seem
hopeless in many ways, we must understand that the Lord has the enemy right
where He wants him!
Arise, shine; for
your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold,
the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD
will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall
come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your
eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons
shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you
shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the
abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall
come to you. The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the dromedaries of
Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; they shall bring
gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD. All the
flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall
minister to you; they shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, and I will
glorify the house of My glory. (Isaiah 60:1-7)
We can pray all we want for the
Lord to drive back the darkness, but we would find ourselves praying against
the word of God. He says He’s going to allow this so as to put His glory on
display in a way that the entire world is going to know Who is truly in charge.
His promise is that the revelation and display of His glory will not only
defeat and destroy the works of darkness, but that out of this, a tremendous
spiritual and natural harvest will come.
Why did the Lord allow the
Israelites to languish in 400+ years of slavery under Pharaoh? We’re told that
the Lord wanted to show His glory and power through this would be god-man
(Exodus 9:16). Through the overthrow of this rebel and his gods, the name of
Yahweh and His glory would become known throughout the earth.
The Lord has not turned a deaf
ear to the cries of His saints. He has been long-suffering in His mercy and
compassion, holding out His hands to a rebellious, God-hating world. Things are
shifting in this new season. He is about to rise and His enemies will be
scattered, at least in those places on earth where the body of Christ is
willing to allow Him to exact His Lordship over their lives and regions. Are
