The Beginning of a New Kingdom Season – Part 5 – January 2013

The following is part of a larger article that the Lord has been intimating to me for the coming season/years. The whole article will be posted on our website, lionheartministries.org, but we will be releasing each section as a smaller article each week for the next few weeks. May these articles, bless, challenge and encourage all. Mike McClung

A Season of War and Warriors

Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O LORD. “Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow-- for their wickedness is great.” Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness. The LORD also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake; but the LORD will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. “So you shall know that I am the LORD your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy, and no aliens shall ever pass through her again.” (Joel 3:9-17)

In the movie The Two Towers, there’s a scene where Saruman’s army of Uruk-Hai has been let loose to march against the people of Rohan to destroy every living thing, and word reaches Theoden and all those presently in Rohan’s capital, Edoras. Theoden, the king, is contemplating what decision to make and Aragorn tells him, “War is upon you whether you like it or not.” These words are now a living reality for the body of Christ. Whether we like it or not, war is here and there is no escaping it….

The Beginning of a New Kingdom Season – Part 4 – January 2013

A Season of Intercessory Shift

In this new season, the prayer movement must shift intercession to not only praying for the mercy of the Lord to be extended, but now for His JUSTICE to come forth and be established.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’” Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:1-8)

A Season of Accelerated Restoration

The restoration that is coming is a restoration of all that has been prophesied and purposed for the one new man…the body of Messiah, the true temple of the Holy Spirit (Acts 3:19-21).

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple (naos), and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple (heiron), and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple (naos) of His body. (John 2:19-21)

As the apostle tells us in Hebrews 7-10, when there is a change in the priesthood, there comes a change in the entire protocol of relationship with God. The basic reason we do not operate under the Old Covenant with the Levitical Priesthood is because all has been fulfilled through the finished work of Calvary and man now relates to the Father based solely on the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus and His continuing Melchizedek priesthood. As such, we’re also told that it’s not temples and tabernacles made by men’s hands in which His presence rests and inhabits, but in the living temple of the individual and corporate body of Messiah (1 Cor. 3:17; 2 Cor. 6:16-7:1).

The Beginning of a New Kingdom Season - Part 2 – January 2013 By Mike McClung

A Season of Deliverance

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged.” (Isaiah 6:1-7)

“Isaiah 6” encounters with the King of Glory are coming to the body of Christ that will have a powerful cleansing and purging effect in their lives. These encounters will allow the grace, love, glory and power of God to begin to flow out of them as it did out of the life of the Lord Jesus.

The Beginning of a New Kingdom Season Part 1– January 2013 By Mike McClung

At the end of October 2012 the Lord began to speak to me about certain aspects of this new and final season of restoration (Acts 3:21) that we are entering that will lead up to the return of the Lord Jesus. The following are “intimations” of what I believe the Lord is ordering to bring about the fullness of His purposes that will engage great conflict, but at the same time, bring great harvest in every dimension of our lives. One of my personal consternations at present is that there seems to be no clear, definitive “word of the Lord.” We all see through a glass darkly, but what is needed right now is a clear, powerful, authoritative word that will shake the body of Christ awake, bring true repentance and it’s spiritual fruit, and empower the body of Messiah to fully manifest His grace and glory that will be needed to overcome the powers of darkness.
